NewsBike Bajaj Pulsar 250 Range Launched; Price Starts From Rs 1.38 Lakh, Specs


The much-awaited Bajaj Pulsar 250 has finally been launched in the Indian market. The new 250cc Pulsar range is available in two variants – F250 and N250 – the faired and the naked respectively. While the Bajaj Pulsar F250 is priced at Rs 1.40 lakh, the new Pulsar NF250 is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh.

The new Bajaj Pulsar 250 naked variant directly rivals the Yamaha FZ250 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250. On the flip side, the new Pulsar F250 is positioned against the Suzuki Gixxer SF250.





Bajaj Pulsar 250 Design & Features


New Pulsar F250 – The new-gen Pulsar F250 comes with more aggressive design compared to the current Pulsars. It features a more evolved wolf-eyed design, featuring a prominent bi-functional LED projector headlamps with integrated reverse Boomerang LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), and new LED turn indicators. The motorcycle gets split seat setup, and muscular fuel tank and upswept exhaust with twin ports. It comes with a raised rear end with a redesigned LED tail-lights, which has twin vertical strips and a tyre hugger.






The new motorcycle comes with new engine cowl, rear set footpegs and up-right clip-on handlebars. These adds to its sporty riding position. The upright clip-on handlebars ensures smooth ride experience in heavy traffic. The bike gets a tall windscreen, faux air vents, aggressive fuel tank, upward-positioned side mounted exhaust and black finished alloy wheels.



The new Bajaj Pulsar 250 comes fitted with an all-new semi-digital instrument console with new tach graphic and range & gear position indicators.



Engine Specifications





The new Bajaj Pulsar 250 range is powered by a new 249cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve, oil-cooled engine that produces 24.5PS of power at 8,750rpm and a peak torque of 21.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It also gets slip & assist clutch for smooth downshift.




For braking duties, the new Bajaj Pulsar 250 features 300mm front disc and 230mm rear disc brakes. The motorcycle gets single-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard. The suspension mechanism comprises of telescopic front forks and monoshock unit with nitrox at the rear.






The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 100/80 section front tyre and 130/70 section rear tyre. In terms of proportions, the new Pulsar 250 is 1,351mm in length and has a seat height of 795mm. It offers a ground clearance of 165mm. While the N250 weighs 162kgs, while the F250 has a kerb weight of 164kgs. The motorcycles offer 14-litre of fuel tank.
