Now Japanese automaker Suzuki has introduced the next generation model of Alto in the domestic market, it is the ninth generation (9th generation) model of this car.
Suzuki has shared the official pictures of this new Alto, in which it can be clearly seen that this car has changed a lot from before. Let us tell you that Suzuki launched the Alto in the Japanese market for the first time in the year 1979, since then this car has been updated nine times. The craze that started about 42 years ago about this car continues even today.
What you need to know here is that the car is completely different in design from the Maruti Alto model that is available in the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki is also working on the next generation model of the Alto for the Indian market, which has been spied testing on several different occasions. This new Suzuki Alto will be launched for sale in the Japanese market next year.
How is the new Suzuki Alto car:
Looking at the official pictures, it can be said that the company has made many major changes in its exterior and interior. First of all, its design seems to be inspired by the Maruti S-Presso, it has been given a boxy design. The exterior has been further rounded and the windshield has been kept a bit more vertical.
The company has now increased its height by 50mm to 1525mm. However, there has been no change in its length 3395mm and width 1475mm. The taillight has been shifted from the bumper to the side instead of the traditional one. Apart from this, most of the design of Alto is similar to the previous generation.
Talking about the cabin of the car, the company has given some special updates in it. As the height of the interior has increased by about 45mm, its length has come down by about 25mm. Its front panel is new and it has a touchscreen infotainment system. Along with climate control, the instrument panel comes with a large analog speedometer.
However, the company has not yet shared any information about the engine and other mechanisms of this car. But it is believed that the company will use 660cc capacity 3-cylinder petrol engine in this car, which will be equipped with Integrated Started Generator (ISG) technology and small lithium-ion battery pack. A 5-speed manual and automatic transmission gearbox can be included in this.
