How to get your videos noticed on YouTube
YouTube is a very interesting medium to promote your products and services on. Of course you can't blatantly promote your products... you have to offer some good tips and information that will be of value to your viewers.
There's more to YouTube than just uploading videos. There are a few things that you have to do if you want to make it successful.
This is what I want to discuss in today's lesson. Internet marketing doesn't have to be hard, and sites like YouTube can make it extremely easy for you.
Some people can upload a video and have thousands and even millions of views by the end of the week.
Now granted, a lot of the music videos that you see on YouTube typically get a TON of views. But if you're just trying to get your website noticed... you have to do some clever things. Here's one of the things that you can do:
1) Brand your URL in the video
This is actually very important. The last thing you want to do is to create a video and have it not drive people back to your site.
So the only way that people will know about your site is if you tell them about it! Don't just automatically assume that people will click on your profile and try to find your site there. It just won't happen this way.
Instead, make it easy for them. Put your website URL at the bottom of your video, and also in your description.
When you put it in your description area, the link becomes clickable. So your viewers won't have to type in your address in their address bar. No matter your method of getting your site noticed, you will want to brand your URL in your video. Here's another way to get your website noticed:
2) Encourage people to subscribe to your channel
You want people to subscribe to your channel so that you can get recurring views to your videos. The more views you get, the higher the chances are that people will come to your website, and the higher the chances are that your viewers will buy your products from you. It's really just marketing 101.
There are a variety of ways that you can get people to subscribe to your YouTube channel. Some people will subscribe just because they like your content. Some will subscribe because you put up some "annotations".
Some will subscribe because you drove them there. And some will subscribe because it was suggested to them.
No matter how they subscribe, you will want them to subscribe. Soon you will see that as soon as you put a new video up, tons of your subscribers will come to your video and view it.
This will drive its view count up, make it popular, and will encourage "new" people to click on it and see what kind of information that it has.
